Robert Downey Jr officially announced his retirement as the Iron Man in Avengers: Endgame, leaving everyone in shock. But, has the actor now started offering free iPhones to all his fans out there? Umm, at least that’s what his recent Instagram activity hinted it. LOL! Before you all start thinking otherwise, let us tell you that it’s just another case of a celebrity’s social media account getting hacked. However, it looks like the hackers were in a mood to play, as they made a post on Robert Downey Jr’s Instagram account, claiming of free iPhones, Macbooks, PlayStations and Tesla Model X cars giveaways to his 43 million followers. Umm, Elon Musk won’t be very happy with the news.
Not only that, but the hackers also changed the former Marvel star’s Instagram bio. They added a fake form that was supposed to be completed to claim the prizes. Apparently, as soon as the hackers got access to Robert Downey Jr’s account, they changed his recovery email, making things a little more complicated for the actor’s team. While all the posts made by hackers have now been deleted, we managed to get our hands on them. Have a look below:
In the past, ironically, Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey’s Twitter account was hacked by a group of online hackers called the Chuckle Squad. They also tweeted several racist and anti-semitic tweets from Dorsey’s account. However, it was recovered soon.
